Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or delegate, assists in planning, organizing and evaluating the activities occurring at the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area. Assists with other duties as needed. Good telephone etiquette and must have great multi:tasking ability.Must be able to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching squatting moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds. Ability to interact with others by vision, feel, observation of verbal and non:verbal behavior, listening/hearing and verbal communication. Ability to operate therapeutic equipment. Requires working with licensed professionals internal and external to hospital operations, application of direct patient care skills in performance of patient care in new and evolving situations and the ability to work under the direct supervision of licensed staff.
